The 9TO5 SCENTS Ceramic Stone Diffuser Trio uses a simple ceramic scent stone that absorbs fragrance oil and gradually releases it into the surrounding space. Designed primarily for the car, it can also bring fragrance to wardrobes, bedrooms, workspaces and other compact areas.
This reusable diffuser was created as part of the 9to5 Studios in-house collection in Sydney. It combines a clean, minimal appearance with four fragrances inspired by citrus, the Australian bush, the coastline and soft floral woods.
What Is a Ceramic Car Diffuser?
A ceramic car diffuser is a porous scent stone designed to hold fragrance oil.
When a few drops of oil are placed on the ceramic surface, the stone absorbs the fragrance and slowly releases the aroma into the air. There is no flame, electricity or water required.
Unlike a pre-scented car freshener, the ceramic stone can be refreshed when the fragrance begins to fade. This gives you greater control over when you want more scent and how much oil you apply.
The compact format also makes it particularly suitable for a car, where a large home diffuser may be impractical.
What Comes in the Ceramic Diffuser Trio?
Each 9TO5 SCENTS Trio is built around three practical elements:

- A 10ml bottle of 9TO5 SCENTS blending oil

The ceramic stone features a simple oval shape and an understated “Have a Nice Day” message. Its neutral finish is designed to work with different car interiors without looking like a conventional air freshener.
The included oil is supplied with a dropper, allowing you to apply the fragrance directly to the stone instead of pouring it from the bottle.
How to Use a Ceramic Car Diffuser
Step 1: Choose a safe location
Before applying the fragrance oil, decide where the ceramic diffuser will sit or hang.
If it is being used in the car, make sure it does not block your view, touch vehicle controls or move into the driver’s space. The diffuser should remain secure while the car is in motion.
Step 2: Protect the surface underneath
Place the ceramic stone on a protected, oil-resistant surface before applying the fragrance. Do not add oil while holding the diffuser above upholstery, clothing or the dashboard.
Fragrance oil may leave marks on absorbent or finished surfaces if it spills.
Step 3: Add a few drops
Apply a few drops of the blending oil directly to the ceramic stone. Begin lightly rather than soaking the stone.
Allow the oil to absorb fully before returning the diffuser to the car or hanging it in another small space.
Step 4: Adjust the fragrance gradually
A car is a compact environment, so a small amount of oil may be enough to make the fragrance noticeable.
If you would like a stronger result, add more only after the first application has absorbed. This makes it easier to control the intensity without overwhelming the space.
Step 5: Refresh when needed
When the fragrance becomes less noticeable, place the stone on a protected surface and add a few more drops.
Always allow fresh oil to absorb before handling or rehanging the diffuser.

Caring for Your Ceramic Diffuser
Keep the oil bottle upright and securely closed when it is not being used.
Apply oil only when the vehicle is safely parked. Do not attempt to refresh the diffuser while driving.
If you want to explore a different fragrance, using a separate ceramic stone will give each blend a clearer scent profile. A porous stone may retain part of the fragrance previously applied to it.
Avoid placing the freshly scented stone directly against clothing, leather, plastic, painted surfaces or upholstery. Allow the oil to absorb completely and wipe away any accidental spills promptly according to the care requirements of the affected surface.
